Get to Know Me

Not Just the Work I Do

I am a Full-Stack Web Developer and Much More

Being an elite, ever-growing web developer is obviously a deep passion of mine, but of course I am not only a web developer. I am foremost a husband and father of two. My family consists of the three most beautiful and extraordinary women on the planet. I know it's peculiar how they all just happened to end up in Missouri. But hey, lucky me. Right?

I have worked as a part-time collegiate pastor for the past 11 years, while simultaneously freelancing and launching a web agency with my two best friends and business partners. During this time I have been able to passionately serve God and love people, which is what really gets my heart going.

One of the reasons why programming and software/web development appeals to me so much is that I love to create!

Film-making, game-making, short-story authoring, song-writing, traveling the world (4 continents), animation, barista-ing (OK so that's not a word, but you get what I mean), ice-cream making, ice-cream eating, helping found a non-profit that sells the ice cream I make and eat... I love doing it all.

If you are familiar with the enneagram, then all you need to know is that I am a type 7. (If you don't know what that means, here is a link to help you understand me a little better.) But in summary I am an enthusiast. I am always up for trying new things and love to learn. After all, if you are not willing to give it a go then you might miss out on an opportunity to discover doing something you truly love. At the same time I have also learned the value of sticking with things you start and seeing them through, so as to truly make a deep and lasting impact on the world.

At the end of the day I love God, my family, people, and creating things. So chances are I am going to like you if we ever meet. And if we should ever get the pleasure of working together, I am confident that we would not only go above and beyond to accomplish our goals and to complete some amazing projects together, but that we would also have a lot of fun along the way.

My Life: a History

2005

Went to Mizzou

I bleed black and gold (notice the color scheme of my portfolio). This is where I met my wife, established my faith, learned to write code, and played countless hours of MLB the Show.

2009

Started Freelancing and Ministry

My first gig was a website that I spent 200+ hours on and got paid $1,000 for... not bad huh? I had to teach myself MySQL, PHP and CSS in order to do it. If only I would have known then what I do now. I also started a campus ministry at Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO.

2010

Tied the Knot

I married the most beautiful woman on planet Earth on May 22. We would go on to make a baby later that year. Six years after that we grew our family again through adoption.

2017

Started ReKreate

Morphed our already existing, personal LLCs to launch a web agency with my two best friends. We build custom solutions for businesses. Check out more about that at Rekreate.agency.

2022

Met You

That's right I met you via this website. Who knows it could end up being a pretty big deal. Let's hope so.
